Microsoft CEO Ballmer Mocks Chrome OS

(CHROMEOSZONE) — Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer addressed an audience today in an onstage question-and-answer session at a conference for Microsoft’s technology partners in New Orleans.
Regarding having both Chrome OS aimed at Netbooks and Android for mobile smartphones, in a jovial tone Ballmer stated, “I don’t know if they can’t make up their mind or what the problem is over there, but the last time I checked, you don’t need two client operating systems.”  ”It’s good to have one,” Ballmer added when noting the experience of having both Windows NT and Windows 95/98 in the previous decade.
For the meantime, Ballmer said Microsoft’s advertising strategy will continue to target Apple adding, “We’re going to continue to tell the story of the PC.”
